About the Counselor in Training (CT) Program

Fleur de Lis Camp’s Counselor in Training Program is a 7-week leadership training program for young women ages 16-17 years old, prior to entering 11th & 12th grade. CTs as they are affectionately called, are campers who participate in new learning experiences and additional leadership responsibilities throughout the two summers they are CTs. As part of this exciting program, they work closely with girls and staff in many parts of camp and with these new responsibilities, come new privileges as leaders in the community. During these two summers CTs will assist in classes, learn about risk management and safety, how to care for younger campers and create positive community living experiences, receive training in specific activities and lesson planning, facilitate the daily squad system, and define and develop their leadership skills.
