| I just wanted to thank everyone for all their kind words and deeds during Wendy's illness and her death. I know it has been 6 months, but that really does not seem possible. I heard from two long time FdL people today, which was eerie. I have been thinking about FdL, especially now that we are having some warmer weather.
Wendy is missed and it continues very difficult. But her spirit remains. Thank you all again,

| Hi Everyone: Went up to camp this past summer with my daugher Olivia for the OPEN HOUSE. We had a wonderful day. If I had had a trunk in the car, she would have stayed. Hoping to send her summer of 2009! Think of FDL often. Chris Creelman was having dinner at the restaurant I work at last week. We were reminiscing. So sorry to hear about Wendy Carney. She was a wonderful person, and we will all miss her very much. Have a happy Fall, and hope to see some alum at the next event. |

| My husband and I attended a surprise 80th birthday party for former Director Lady Jay Campbell earlier this month. She is doing well despite some walking problems. She still comes to our house for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. She no longer has any cats, but does occasionally cat-sit for friends. She also still lives in her cottage in Mattapoisett and has been told that she may remain there as long as she wishes.
