Covid-19 Plan

(March – April 2020)

Message from the Executive Director

During this time of uncertainty, challenge, and hardship, we are committed to the well-being of our Fleur de Lis community. As we continue to prepare for a wonderful summer at camp, we know that there are many obstacles to overcome and issues to consider in providing a healthy and positive experience for everyone. We, just like many of you, are being called on daily to be flexible and patient and we plan to provide you with our next update about the summer before May 15th

With continued best wishes for your health and happiness,

– Lady MJ Parry

Information to Know

The staff and the Board of Fleur de Lis Camp are engaged in thoughtful discussions about the camp season and look to these organizations outside of our community for guidance and expertise.

A Strengthened FDL Community

Over the past few months, we have seen our FDL Community come together in a way that only camp folks could. The gratitude, encouragement, and support we have seen spreading throughout our community is uplifting. These friendships are ones that are always there and never waiver. It brings us great joy to know that this support system continues to care for one another through celebrations, struggles, and everything in between. Check out our new FDL@Home page to see what other support we have been offering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be refunded if camp is canceled or adjusted in any way?

In the event that we are unable to run our full summer season or if due to a shortened season, your daughter’s session is canceled, you will have the following choices:

    • Rolling over your 2020 payment to 2021 at the 2020 tuition rates.
    • Requesting a refund of your 2020 payment.
    • Considering a tax-deductible donation of all or a portion of your payment to support Fleur de Lis during these challenging times.

In the event that a camper will “age out” or is unable to participate in summer 2021, you will have the following choices:

    • Requesting a refund of your 2020 payment.
    • Considering a tax-deductible donation of all or a portion of your payment to support Fleur de Lis during these challenging times.
Will I be refunded if I choose to not participle in summer 2020?
  • While our standard cancellation policy states that tuition is only refundable before May 1st, in the event that camp is open and there are Covid-19 related reasons for cancellation, we will offer the same choices as if camp were closed.
  • In the event that camp is open, you do still have the opportunity to enroll in the “Program Protector” program to safeguard your tuition in case your daughter becomes ill or injured prior to her session. Note: It is much more beneficial to enroll in the program before the final tuition payment is made.

What additional safety steps is Fleur de Lis Camp taking?
  • Our full-time staff are still busy preparing for camp this summer as we work from our home offices. A critical piece of our planning is for the safety and health of our participants which is always the highest priority at Fleur de Lis. We have successfully planned for and managed communicable diseases in camp in the past by working  with our local health experts. With our new challenge of Covid-19, we are monitoring the work of the CDC, the American Camp Association, Association of Camp Nursing, the NH Camp Directors and state and local health departments as new healthcare guidelines are established for summer camps. We will share information about these protocols as they become available. We are committed to meeting or exceeding all recommended healthcare protocols for the health and safety of everyone at Fleur de Lis.
