Farmhouse Retreat Recap
Greetings from snowy Fitzwilliam! Lady Bridget here, director of our intrepid counselors-in-training. I’m writing from Lady Carrie’s living room, where the Farmhouse Staff are snuggled up with coffee, FDL waffles, and exciting plans for Summer 2014!
Ladies Carrie, Sarena, Pam, Annie, Grace, and I have been hard at work since Friday evening getting schedules, pre-camp training, and activities ready for the upcoming season. There has also been a little bit of time to hone our “Head’s Up” skills, which I suspect will be an integral part of our Summer 2014 experience.
Even though camp is still covered in snow, it’s not hard to picture green grass and smiling campers walking up the camp road. We made a jaunt to the fields yesterday and had a tour of the newly renovated Applecart and senior wogs. They look amazing and I can’t wait to see them put to use in just a few short months! In the mid field, I challenged Lady Grace to a tetherball game and quickly realized I am out of tetherball shape. I’ve got to get training to be ready for that and Roofball by June.
We’re so excited for all the excitement to come. I’ll be counting down the days until we’re back!
