Getting to know the 2013 staff*
As many of you know, this summer I served as the staff director. Part of my duties were getting to know this amazing group of women who made up our staff. I did this in many ways- breakfast meetings, “Birdie on the Perch”, training sessions, so many games and conversations but I also got them to fill out what I thought was a fairly simple profile sheet. I realized that I was wrong about my assumption when I handed them out to the first set of staff at a breakfast meeting. After name, age and years at FDL, they agonized over every question, which I had left fairly open to interpretation to make it easier to complete (again another erroneous assumption). But they persevered and finished. Well, most of them finished and now I get the honor of sharing their throughly thoughtful answers with you.
Here are the “special skills” that the Farmhouse staff wanted on record-
Lady Carrie- speaks German and Spanish, cross-stitch, EMT, ESL instructor, CPR/FA instructor
Lady Jazmin- Skiing, developing the ability to cook, boat driver, lifeguard
Lady Pam- photography
Lady Tierney- driving the boat, LGTI, being awesome
Lady Bridget- listing all 50 states in 20 seconds, connecting celebrities by 6 degrees of separation, quoting Harry Potter
So, as you can see, they have a lot to offer. I would like to note that I am not excluding Lady Annie; she would be one of the ones who never quite finished (or possibly started). But in her defense, I never filled one out either but there is still time.

* this will be another ongoing thread because, well, we had an awesome staff this year and I would love to let you all know them better.
