I’ve got a fever and the only cure is more camp
It is an illness that so many of us know too well, camp sickness. It’s that feeling that sets in after leaving 120 Howeville Road that makes you both desperate to return and certain that nothing else in life can compare to camp life, camp friends, and well, just, camp in general. The onset is different for everyone; for some of the afflicted, it happens immediately upon arrival home and for some, it may take a few days or weeks to fully set in. Symptoms include melancholia, constant comparisons to camp, recitation of every camp story and song and the need to be around camp people again.
Well, rest assured that while there is not a cure for this affiliation, there is treatment. The weekend of October 2nd, FDL will be holding a clinic of sorts, better known as Fall Family Festival. For alums, this is your chance to come out to Laurel Lake for the weekend and reconnect with not only camp but each other. For our current and prospective camp families, Saturday is your chance for one last FDL fix before winter starts to creep in so come out from 11 to 4 for all manners of camp life. Check out the link below for more details and remember only with more camp can you hope to treat camp sickness-
