Meet the Staff: Grace McDonough
Before the summer of 2017, get acquainted with some of our amazing counselors, unit heads, Farmhouse staff, and execs who keep Fleur de Lis running from week to week. This week, we’d like to introduce you to Grace McDonough:
Hello! Grace McDonough, here. I am so excited to return to Fleur de Lis as the Staff Director!! It will be my 16th summer at camp and I can confidently say we have a fantastic group of women arriving on the shores of Laurel Lake in a few short weeks.
I currently work at a boarding school in residential life. In addition to my role in the dorms, I help run the student leadership program, serve as the faculty mentor for the weekend activity planning group, and support the peace & social justice club. In my spare time I love to hike, cook, and I recently took up surfing!
While at camp, you’ll find me everywhere from the waterfront to the archery range and everything in between. I am probably best known for my enthusiastic (albeit slightly off key) singing in the dining hall and my love of Colors (raising & lowering the flags). Joining me this summer is my dog, Kipper. He is a big Harry Potter fan and maybe at the talent show he’ll show you a few of his spells.
Looking forward to meeting you all soon!
