Some excited coming attractions
POSTED 3.21.15 Blog

I have the honor of sharing some exciting news about the Fleur de Lis Blog; we will be hosting two guest writers in the coming weeks, Susan Fey and Scott Arizala. Let me tell you a bit about them-

Susan Fey is a therapist, author, and national trainer based in Cleveland, OH. She specializes in helping clients develop their personal and professional communication skills. She delivers training to individuals and corporations on communication skills, conflict resolution, resiliency, motivation, and presentation skills. She’s the author of numerous magazine articles and books including, 101 Ways to Make Your Message Stick, 101 ideas & Insights About Resolving ConflictThe Manager’s Motivation Handbook, Circle of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Facilitator’s Guide, and the college survival guide My Roommate is Driving Me Crazy! Susan developed Circle of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. to teach girls ages 8-14 how to develop healthy relationships, regulate emotions, increase self-esteem, and communicate assertively. She’s taught her workshops for Girl Scouts, parent groups, schools, and summer camps. Susan believes every person has a story worth telling and she wants to help young girls in particular tell a powerful one.

Scott Arizala is one of the leading experts and premier trainers on kids, staff and the experience of summer camp. He has been involved with camps and youth development for over thirty years as a camper, counselor, administrator, teacher and consultant. He has directed traditional resident camps, day camps, single gender camps, and is currently the Owner and Director for Camp Tall Tree, a traditional resident camp for kids with unique challenges, the Executive Director for Dragonfly Forest, a resident camp for kids with serious illnesses and disorders in the Philadelphia area and National Consultant for Camp Kesem, a student-run, national organization delivering camp for kids who have been affected by a parents’ cancer. In addition, he has had articles published in trade journals and on various industry websites and is a pioneering contributor to Expert Online Training, the world’s leader in online training for camp staff and is an award-winning author of the best-selling book on summer camp and youth development, S’more Than Camp.

As you can see, these are two individuals with an incredible amount of knowledge and experience to share with us and I can’t wait for you all to be able to read their contributions, which will be posted in the next few weeks.
