Welcome, Lady Rebecca!
Fleur de Lis is excited to welcome Lady Rebecca as our new Assistant Director for Development! She starts in May, but joined Lady Carrie and Lady Hannah at the ACA New England Conference in Manchester the past weekend. Join us in welcoming Lady Rebecca to Fleur de Lis; a bit more about her is below:
Greetings to my new Fleur de Lis Family!
My name is Rebecca Junnila and I’m excited to begin working as the new Assistant Director for Development at Fleur de Lis. While I won’t be starting full-time until May, I have had the opportunity to dive into some early Circle Camp training with Lady Jen and Lady Kate; and to attend the ACA conference in Manchester, NH with Lady Carrie and Lady Hannah. (See, I’m already learning the lingo!) What has impressed me the most about Fleur de Lis so far is the deep commitment to the camp across generations, and the strong friendships I’ve seen firsthand. I’m excited to become a part of the tradition.
I am a Minnesota native who spent many childhood years in Wyoming (where I was a faithful camper at Camp Sacajawea) and Montana (where I was a counselor at Camp Timbercrest) before returning to Minnesota to earn a degree in Economics and Russian Studies at St. Catherine University. I’ve been in New Hampshire since 1998. Since then I’ve started and run my own business, served many years on the board of the Montessori Schoolhouse of Cheshire County, and helped found and run the non-profit Keene Community Music Center. Most recently I have been the Integrated Arts Director at the Montessori Schoolhouse. Life is busy at my house with three kids going all different directions (my youngest daughter is very excited about coming to camp this summer!) but I manage to squeeze in some hobbies here and there. You can expect to see me running around the lake this summer (maybe even with my weimaraner!), playing the harp or violin (I play in the Keene State College Orchestra), or just relaxing on a porch with a book in my hand. I’m looking forward to meeting you all at camp!
